Bel Occhio è uno studio sulla leggerezza e sulla trasparenza”, osserva il designer Pablo Pardo riguardo alla sua ispirazione per questo apparecchio d'illuminazione. “Evoca la luce trasformativa della natura”. Il suo pezzo manifesta il celestiale attraverso un design ibrido: la sua colonna interna sospesa crea un'illuminazione focalizzata, mentre il guscio circostante produce un bagliore ambientale trasformativo. Questi elementi simbiotici consentono a Bel Occhio di fungere da faretto multiposizione e da fonte di carattere atmosferico. Svolgono inoltre funzioni dinamiche: Bel Occhio è realizzato come lampada da tavolo infinitamente regolabile e come modello a sospensione. Entrambi gli elementi servono a illuminare con comfort e a affascinare l'immaginazione.

Pablo Pardo

Pablo Pardo is a Venezuelan-born industrial designer and founder of Pablo Designs, established in San Francisco in 1993. A 1986 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, his early work included product and automotive design for 3M, IDEO, Toylab and Chrysler. His lighting blends technical innovation with simplicity, tactility and warmth, creating objects that feel natural to use and reflect a commitment to permanence. His work has earned international awards, and Piccola is held in SFMOMA’s permanent collection.
