Bel Occhio est une étude sur l'apesanteur et la transparence », note le designer Pablo Pardo à propos de l'inspiration derrière ce luminaire. « Il évoque la lumière transformatrice de la nature. » Son œuvre incarne le céleste grâce à une conception hybride : sa colonne intérieure suspendue crée un éclairage ciblé tandis que sa coque environnante produit une lueur ambiante transformatrice. Ces éléments symbiotiques permettent à Bel Occhio d'agir à la fois comme un projecteur multiposition et comme une source d'ambiance atmosphérique. Ils remplissent également des fonctions dynamiques : Bel Occhio est conçu comme une lampe de table infiniment réglable et comme un modèle suspendu. Les deux éléments servent à illuminer avec confort tout en fascinant l'imagination.

Pablo Pardo

Pablo Pardo is a Venezuelan-born industrial designer and founder of Pablo Designs, established in San Francisco in 1993. A 1986 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, his early work included product and automotive design for 3M, IDEO, Toylab and Chrysler. His lighting blends technical innovation with simplicity, tactility and warmth, creating objects that feel natural to use and reflect a commitment to permanence. His work has earned international awards, and Piccola is held in SFMOMA’s permanent collection.
